Level-HighImportant message:Hi Everyone. This page has become too big and is getting a warning that it needs to be split. It is getting difficult to edit, and had some errors that needed to be corrected as well. I went ahead and broke it into 3 pages. High School Campers A-H , High School Campers I-P and High School Campers Q-Z
I put everything with links included as of today (Monday June 29, 2009) at around 11:30 a.m. Central time. If there is something missing please let me know and I will fix it. Please know this will not change your homework or bio pages, it is just for the camp roster.
Thanks!

The chart and accompanying information was deleted earlier today. I restored the page, but the last 7 people need to go back and redo their information. I added them to the chart, but did not add details.

MAC users will need to use one of two means to add a row to the table: 1) control + enter OR 2) mouse click the table edit box & right click to access the edit menu box for adding a row.
I get no response when I do step #1 and #2. where is the "edit menu box"?

After you click "Edit" at the top of the screen, scroll down to the table and right-click where you want to add a row. You should get a pop-up that says Cell, Row, Column, Delete Table. Click on Row and then click on the option that allows you to add a row (above or below the selection, I believe).

Thanks I tried it and it works. I do not have a mouse but just a pad. I found that CONTROL - CLICK on the row give me that pop up menu and the options.

if the instructions above said "AND" in between the two choices for us Mac users, I think everything would be fine.

I initially posted this under the contact a mentor link - but perhaps that was not the correct location. I'm looking for a mentor who can advise me in the following: - how do you determine the best way to structure the file/folder hierarchy and naming conventions for documents, fiiles, folders, templates etc ? I would like to be as efficient as possible in setting up my classroom wikis so they are ready to go at the beginning of the school year. Also, is it possible to import student names, user ids and passwords? The technology director in my district has offered to help me with this so that 1) I don't have to create this data for all my students and 2) to minimize the number of user ids and passwords students have to keep up with.
Thanks!

Sally,
There is not a standard when it comes to folders, naming conventions, etc. You have to decide what works best for you & how you want to use the wiki. I am in the process of over-hauling mine, but you are welcome to see how I have organized it, so far: www.iclassroom.pbworks.com
And I don't know the answer to your second question. I've never tried it that way.

How do you know when someone else is editing the page while you're editing?

I agree. On the other hand, five or six minutes should be enough to edit this page. I have been waiting almost 15 minutes to edit. This could get old!

I am wondering, Why is there is that "Remove highlighting whenever you open this page?
Could you, please explain what does it mean?

Could you please, mention your Number whenever you complete your homework so as the mentors can have a look at it and provide feedback.
Please insert the numbers if you add any new row., Thanks

Where, exactly, should I mention it? Is there someone or somewhere we should announce that our homework is complete? I must have missed a direction somewhere...just in case, my (#103) homework is done. :) Thanks to whoever took the time to number all of us!

I meant: those who have not have read or receive any feedback concerning their homework, they can help mentioning their numbers for the mentors.
The numbering I have done is a sort of help to spot the targeted person while scrolling down up the list.
Sorry, Christine and moved the “Kristine- The PBwiki Team” team to the front to be accessible and recognized by everybody

I cannot for some reason view the full page for the high school campers. There is no horizontal scroll bars that I can use to manipulate the page. Any suggestions.......

Problem solved: There is a little triangle top right hand corner. Clicking on that gave me the options of viewing the full page without the right menus side bar.

I am so confused, and the frustration level at doing the homework and where to turn it in, and how to get it graded, and how to do most things. I know the homework is supposed to take 1-3 hours, doubled that time easily. I can't figure out how to get my name into this table. My Mac does not have a right click, I've tried number one on the suggestions. Frustration levels are getting to the point of not continuing. I don't want to do all of this work and get little to no feedback. If it takes this long to do these "simple things", how long is it going to take me to set up my own wiki?

I found an empty set of cells underneath Kristi's in the table. If one of the mentors would check my homework, that would be fantastic! Thanks

Terry, I'm using a MAC laptop without a mouse and I held the "ctrl" key down while clicking the single "mouse" button on my computer. That brought up the menu which allows you to insert a new row. Hope that helps in the future!
