Linda, thanks for the recorded conversation. I think your students are very lucky to have you as their instructor.

Should the first link - the mp4 - be audio only?

I was having problems with my internet connection yesterday and could not connect to the live webinar. Today I have tried downloading the recording but when the Quicktime window opens I only see a black screen. I am working on a MacBook 10.5 running on Leopard. When I downloaded the .wmv file Flip4Mac automatically opened to convert it, but as I stated when Quicktime opened there was only a black screen.

The cycle of Invention/Investigation/Distribution/Emergence/Circulation really turns the writing process on its head. Is there a source for this cycle that I could access??

I'm also using a MacBook running 10.5. When I try to watch the video all I see is a black screen. Any suggestions?

I was working during the live webinar so I set out trying to watch the video on my 2.4 GHz iMac, and on both the wiki page and the Vimeo page the video ran for about 8 and a half minutes and then got stuck. There was no way to get the player to advance any further; clicking further down the progress bar didn't work, neither did pausing and starting again. After watching the first 8 minutes three times and being unable to get any further, I decided to download the video and watch it off-line. I was able to download the file, but when I double-clicked on the WMV file it opened Quciktime which told me it couldn't play the file because it didn't have the right add-on. After downloading and installing the latest version of Flip4Mac, I found that Quicktime now could play the sound part of the file but the video was still a blank. I then tried to play the WMV file in Windows Media Player for Mac, same result - sound but no picture. I also tried VLC player and Democracy player, with no success.
I have now been trying to watch this webcast for over 4 hours. I am a pretty tech-savvy guy, but this is really frustrating me. I really want to take part in this Summar Camp course, but am teaching everyday so I don't have unlimited time to play around with this struff. PLEASE TRY TO MAKE IT EASIER TO WATCH THE VIDEOS! Any chance of getting a QT, avi or mp4 formatted version, I have no trouble playing those.....

Michael,
I don't know why you can't view past 8 minutes, this looks like a problem with vimeo and not with PBworks. Try watching it on the vimeo website here: http://vimeo.com/5313825 if you're still having problems, tell vimeo so they can help you view it in the entirety.
The download link is a gotomeeting file, I can't change that easily. Many people are saying that they only see a black box and hear the recording. I will try to convert, though this will take a significant amount of time and won't be available quickly.

I have also had trouble getting on the Webinars. I have a MacBook with OS 10.5 and couldn't get on the first time. I clicked the link and it took me to the help page. I called in and listened but it's really difficult to know what is going on when you can't physically view it. I am going to try the Vimeo or the recorded webinar and see if that helps.
